For projects featuring windows above sliding or multi-slide doors (either a direct mull to a sliding glass door or multi-slide door separated by a structure), aligning a window’s vertical mullion with the interlock of the sliding product is essential for clean sight lines.
But if you’re thinking about doing the measurements yourself, think again.
“It’s not as easy as dividing the window size,” says Western Window Systems project manager Dave Schappert. “Because the fixed and lock stiles are different, our sliding doors don’t have a true middle. This is true for all Western Window Systems sliding and multi-slide doors in any panel configuration.”
For best results, your sales representative can provide friendly, expert support by properly adjusting frame sizes and ensuring precise vertical alignment success.
