What a way to wake up! Richard Doria made sure that this 12’ pocketing multi-slide door could be open as often as possible by including a covered patio just outside. However, open or closed, the size of this slider ensures that this room is almost always illuminated with natural light.

Remodels can be daunting, especially when your canvas is the remnants of remodels from past owners. Luckily, interior designer Kevin Sawyer is an experienced creative who embraces collaboration, knowing that it "produces a better product." With the partnership of architectural firm jones | haydu, and the use of purposefully-placed Western Window Systems products, Sawyers was able to transform his narrow, disjointed space into a light-filled, breezy home.

When it all came together, he also discovered that his new views highlighted the region`s landmarks in a way that evoked memories of his childhood home in North Carolina, which was a welcome surprise.
