The Above-and-Beyonders

According to finance operations manager Jennifer Lopez, this year’s inventory count was the most efficient and successful count she’d ever been a part of. No small amount of credit goes to a group of four office employees who stepped up and made the count go as smoothly as possible.

Of this group, Lopez says they were “trusted, efficient, displayed excellence, and we all knew we could count on you (no pun intended).”

Lopez says Megan Jones was her clone during the count, running around the shop answering questions and helping audit. About Megan, she says: “Megan sees details I would have never caught. She created the count sheets, helped update counts into the system, and researched part numbers that were not recognized by the system. I was just so extremely impressed by the effort and performance.”

Jess Craft spent weeks preparing for the data that was needed for the count. She had to understand the whole process, not just her part. Says Lopez: “She was out on the floor watching and performing it to understand it better and prove if it was working properly instead of just assuming it was. I’m probably not doing justice for explaining the IT part of this task.”

David Gifford took on the huge role of helping to manage the files and reviewing all the scanned details before loading them into the file. “There were hundreds of lines of details,” says Lopez. “David made sure everything copied correctly and formulas were updated, and he continued to be a huge support even after the count to load in valuation and other reviews.”

Danny Bach takes on a huge role at every inventory. He spends time helping the storeroom prepare, organize, research, and update variances found in the system. Says Lopez: “He completed these tasks with a goal of an accurate inventory. He also stuck around after the count was complete to support me with the final audit.”

Congratulations to the Above-and-Beyonders, Western Window Systems’ office employees of the month for January.
