For the third year in a row, Western Window Systems is a proud sponsor of Sunset magazine's Idea House, an annual series that showcases innovations in West Coast style and home design.

This year’s home, a beautiful display of modernist architecture, will be located in Palm Springs, California. Previous Idea Houses sponsored by Western Window Systems were located in Berkeley Hills, California, and Denver.

The 3,750-square-foot, four-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom home is the brainchild of Palm Springs-based o2 Architecture, with interior design by Los Angeles-based 30 Collins. Scheduled for completion on July 1 by Palm Springs-based Better Built Inc., the home is scheduled to be open for tours in October and November. It also will be part of Modernism Week’s Fall Preview, from October 20 to 22 in Palm Springs.

“Our Idea House is the most intimate and authentic way to experience what the Sunset lifestyle is all about,” says Irene Edwards, Sunset magazine’s editor-in-chief. “The Sunset Idea House franchise embodies our most important values and provides a wealth of everyday inspiration.”

Various Western Window Systems products, including multi-slide doors and custom windows, will be installed in the home, which also features a swimming pool and views of Palm Springs. The ability of Western Window Systems’ products to seamlessly merge the indoors with the outside ensures the home will boast breathtaking indoor-outdoor entertaining spaces. And state-of-the-art smart-home technology will complement Western Window Systems’ commitment to energy efficiency within the home.

Fans of ultra-modern architecture can expect the Palm Springs Idea House to be featured in Sunset’s November 2017 issue.
